When it comes to the speeches on your big day, sometimes you need to consider the bride and groom speeches together. The one thing we both decided upon was not to spoil the surprise and write our speeches together. The Bride and Groom Speech – Who should say what?
When it comes to any kind of speech, whether the grooms wedding speeches or the father of groom wedding speech, it can help to get your stories straight and make sure that every single speech isn’t repeating the other. This goes for groom speeches and father of the bride speeches but particularly the Brides speech. This is why it maybe a good idea to discuss at least the outline of the bride and groom speech with your better half.
Not all bride and grooms will do separate speeches. Maybe only one of you want to the the speech or you may want to so a double act! It needs to be decided upon early enough before taking the next step.
Working out your Bride and Groom speech
Once you’ve decided it’s a good idea to talk to your future wife and ask whether she’s preparing a speech herself. Chances are that you will both have a few of the same ideas, such as telling stories of how you met and what you’ve done together.
One option is to decide to cover different topics. Another option is to both cover the story of how you got together – but from different points of view. This can make for exciting, funny, yet still poignant grooms wedding speeches that your guests will love!
Finding bride and groom wedding speech ideas together isn’t always done, but I think sharing some ideas – while still keeping the speeches private until the big day – can be really inspiration. In the end it’s really down to you both to decide how you want your bride and groom speech to go but it could turn a great day into a really memorable day!
